FM official denounces renewal of EU sanctions against Syria

SANAA, May 30 (YPA) – An official at the Foreign Ministry in the National Salvation Government on Saturday denounced the European Union renewing the sanctions imposed on Syrian Arab Republic.

In a statement, the official renewed affirming the principled position of the Republic of Yemen rejecting the sanctions policy that is incompatible with international law and paid for by many people of the world.

The official emphasized that this decision is not in line with the current situation the world is going through as a result of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, and the calls of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in this regard.

The official called on the European Union to reconsider this decision, which will have dire effects on the Syrian people.
