UAE transfers Yemeni students coming from China to Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, April 29 (YPA) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has transferred a number of Yemeni students it had evacuated them from China to Hadramout province, in eastern Yemen, local sources reported on Wednesday.

The sources said that the process of transporting the Yemeni students to Al-Rayyan Airport in the city of Mukalla was done without coordination with the local and health authorities in the province to take the necessary quarantine measures, without mentioning the number of students who arrived in the city.

It is worthy to mention that the UAE forces refuse to open Al-Rayyan Airport, which has been closed since 2015 to travelers from the province, patients, and other humanitarian cases.

This move coincided with a statement issued by the United Nations on Tuesday, which confirmed that the Corona virus may be spread in Yemen without the authorities being able to detect it.

The statement issued by the Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, Lise Grande, said: “The virus is now present in Yemen, and it may spread quickly.”
