Syrian air defences intercept Israeli aggression over Damascus

SANAA, April 27 (YPA) – Syrian Arab Army air defences have confronted an Israeli aggression over the airspace of the areas around the capital, Damascus, SANA news agency reported on Monday.

Local sources in Damascus said that they have heard explosions in the vicinity of the capital, following aerial bombardment on various areas.

Later, Syrian television said that” Army air defences have confronted an Israeli aggression and shot down a number of hostile missiles over Damascus.

The Israeli missiles had been fired by the Israeli Air Force from within Lebanese airspace towards Damascus,according to the Syrian television .

On March 31, Syrian air defences already intercepted several suspected Israeli missiles thy had been fired towards Homs.
