Southern leader warns of upcoming Emirati plan to spread chaos in Yemen’s south

ADEN, April 26 (YPA) – A leader in the so-called “southern resistance” said the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council declaration of  self-governance in the country’s southern provinces and a state of emergency in those areas is a “coup” on what was agreed in Riyadh agreement.

Adel al-Hasani confirmed in a tweet that “What is happening today in Aden is a new rebellion for the STC, sponsored by UAE Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed in coordination with Slain Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s son, Ahmed Ali

He warned of a total chaos that will engulf the southern provinces in the coming days with an arrangement from the parties to the coup.

The STC’s statement means the end of the Riyadh agreement, he noted.

Al-Hasani had earlier warned in an interview with Al-Jazeera of the risk of the coalition’s conspiracy against Hadi’s government.

Saudi Arabia is involved in the game of role-playing with the UAE against the so-called legitimacy, according to Al-Hasani.
