Citizen dies, houses collapses due to heavy rains in Raymah

RAYMAH, April 21 (YPA) – Heavy rains poured into Raymah province, resulting in the death of a citizen, the collapse of several houses, and the disruption of main and secondary roads.

The head of the province’s operations, Abdullatif Al-Ra’ini, said in a statement that the heavy rains that lasted for more than three hours in the areas of Al-Jaafariya district caused the death of citizen Ali Shaya Zayed, after the walls of the courtyard of Al-Dahra mosque had collapsed.

He pointed to the collapse of four houses, and the building of the local authority in the district partially, and the death of a number of sheep due to torrential rains.

The rains that affected Al-Jabin and Bilad-Ta’am districts resulted in the cutting of a number of main and secondary roads and the displacement of hundreds of families as a result of the landslides.
