Decision to reduce aid is political to pressure national parties: Humanitarian Affairs Council

SANAA, April 16 (YPA) – Head of the International Cooperation Department at the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination Humanitarian Affairs Manea al-Asal on Thursday said the decision to reduce aid in Yemen is “a political decision and an attempt to pressure the national parties.”

Al-Asal explained, in a statement to Al-Masirah TV channel, that the decision to reduce aid coincided with a major military escalation, and “reveals an international trade in the suffering of Yemenis with an exposed American pushing.”

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Supreme Council for Management Humanitarian Affairs held the World Food Program (WFP) and donors responsible for the humanitarian consequences of the decision to reduce aid, affirming that the decision is a coup against the signed agreement.
