Torrential rains cause flood in Marib

MARIB, April 16 (YPA) – The city of Marib on Wednesday afternoon witnessed heavy rains that caused torrential floods in all areas, washing away many houses and camps of the coalition forces, local residents said.

According to the residents, a whole family consists of a mother and four children died and 10 other displaced people went missing from the Sweida camp southwest of Marib on Wednesday evening as torrential rains poured over marib city  and washed away the camp.

The sources explained that the floods poured rapidly through the streets of Marib city, which led to the dredging of houses in al-Rawda area of Marib city, and next to the government compound.

The sources added that the heavy rain flowed  Sahn al-Jan military camo of the camp belonging to the coalition forces, as well as flooded the maintenance camp next to the government compound in Marib city
