Sanaa holds WFP responsible for results of reducing aid to Yemen

SANAA, April 15 (YPA) – The Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Sanaa on Wednesday held the World Food Program (WFP) responsible for the consequences of the decision to reduce humanitarian aid to Yemen.

The Council expressed, in a statement, its rejection of the WFP decision, considering it a coup after the agreement signed between the Council and the program.

The statement considered the decision to reduce the aid as “a pressure card used by Saudi-led coalition to oppress the Yemeni people in conjunction with the enemy escalation in the field.”

The Council called on the WFP to present a detailed financial repot on support provided by donors to assist the Yemeni people, suggesting the review and assessment of the agreement between the two sides.

At the end of its statement, the Council confirmed that it would continue to provide all services and facilitates related to the humanitarian action in Yemen.
