Fuel prices will fall when new oil shipments arrive: YPC

SANAA, April 4 (YPA) – The official spokesman for the Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) Amin al-Shabati on Saturday said that the company would re-review the prices as soon as the oil cargos that were shipped at low prices arrived to relieve the burdens on citizens.

“We can reduce the price of oil derivatives more if the aggression forces released the held ships first-hand,” al-Shabati said in a statement to Al-Masirah TV channel.

Al-Shabati explained that the oil ships arriving in Yemen had been detained for months, and the purchase had taken place on the high stock exchange prices, which did not help to benefit from the recent drop in the price of oil.
