Health Ministry calls citizens not be drawn into rumors about Corona

SANAA, March 28 (YPA) – Ministry of Public Health and Population and the Joint Technical Committee to Prepare for Confronting Corona on Saturday called on citizens to be accurate and not to be drawn into rumors about the emergence of Corona cases.

Spokesman for the committee Dr. Abdulhakim al-Kohlani confirmed the incorrectness of information included in a video clip that was recently circulated about 45 confirmed cases of Coronavirus infection in the Republican Hospital in the capital Sanaa.

Dr. al-Kohlani called on everyone to take information from its official source in the joint technical committee, reaffirming that Yemen has yet been free from any case of Coronavirus.

He added that in the event of discovering any case, it would be announced directly in the context of transparency and credibility to confront this virus.

The spokesman referred that five suspected cases of Yemeni citizens from Hajjah, Mahweet, Ibb, Rayma and Saada provinces were examined Saturday at the National Center for Public Health Laboratories in the capital Sanaa, and all laboratory tests for these cases proved they are free from the Coronavirus.
