7 citizens arrested in Aden

ADEN, March 28 (YPA) – An official of a police station arrested on Saturday seven citizens in Aden province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The commander of emergency battalion, Samid Sannah sent a military force included military pick-up vehicles carrying machine guns to al-Aumal island and captured seven civilians.

The forces arrested them because they refused to hand over their lands for that official, the sources said.

Samid Sannah seeks to control lands on the island in favor of security leaders loyal to UAE-backed southern transitional council, the sources added.
