UN calls for “war plan” to eliminate Corona

NEW YORK, March 25 (YPA) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has said in a letter to leaders of G20 that the problem of new Corona virus (COVID -19) requires unprecedented measures, and there is a need for a plan similar to the “time of war.”

“The G20 leadership has an exceptional opportunity to come up with a robust package of measures to eliminate various threats against the backdrop of the Corona virus outbreak,” Guterres added. “This would show solidarity among the peoples of the world, especially with the most vulnerable.”

The UN Secretary-General also called on the leaders of the G20 to lift the sanctions that hinder the delivery of food and medical aid to several of countries.
