South Korea reports 64 new cases of corona

SANAA, March 23 (YPA) – South Korea announced on Monday the lowest number of new cases of newly infected Corona virus, which causes Covid-19, since its peak reached on February 29.
The continued downward trend in daily cases has also raised hopes that the largest outbreak of the virus in Asia outside China may be receding.
The Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that South Korea recorded 64 new cases of Corona virus, taking the number of cases to 8961. The number of deaths rose to 110, according to Reuters.
The daily total number showed the continuation of the 12-day downward trend in new cases.
The Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that 257 patients were discharged from hospitals where they had been isolated for treatment.
South Korea reported more recoveries than infections on March 13 for the first time since its first case was confirmed on January 20.
Globally, the infections of the newly emerging Corona virus, which first appeared in central China at the end of last year, exceeded 335,000 infections and more than 14,600,000 deaths, while the number of people recovered exceeded 97,000.
