SANAA, March 22 (YPA) – A Black Hawk helicopter crashed in the south of the country on Saturday, killing one person and injuring nine others, the Mexican Navy Command announced Saturday.
“We announce, with great regret, that a Navy Black Hawk helicopter crashed in Veracruz State,” the command said in a statement.
The Mexican Navy Minister reported on his Twitter account that one member of the Veracruz State Police had been killed and nine others injured.
The governor of Veracruz state said the crashed helicopter was serving in anti-human trafficking operations.
The Navy Command also said the helicopter was involved in the fight against human smuggling in the region
