MARIB, March 18 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces backed by the popular committees on Tuesday were able to completely purge Serwah front in Marib province and take control of Kofal Camp, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
This came hours after the army and popular committees repelled a large infiltration attempt by Saudi-led coalition forces towards Hailan Mountain in Serwah district.
In this context, a journalist loyal to the coalition named Jalal al-Sharabi admitted in a tweet on Tuesday that the Kofal camp, which is one of the most important camps of the coalition in Marib, had fallen with all its military gear in hands of the Yemeni army and the popular committees.
Al-Sharabi confirmed that the coalition forces withdrew from the camp towards the neighboring Shabwa province.
