YACP warns citizens of buying expired goods

SANAA, May 3 (YPA)- Yemen association for consumers protection (YACP)   warned all traders not to trade expired goods and food products that are out of date in order to preserve the safety and health of the consumers of the community, all violators hold responsible for doing so.

The Secretary-General of the association, “Saleh Ali Ghailan,” in an exclusive interview with the “Yemen Press Agency” said that the Yemeni consumer had become vulnerable to fraud, deception and by methods of highly professional in “dates” especially with the approaching of the holy month of Ramadan

He Pointed Pointing out that those who will prove involved in the sale of food goods and products will bear the consequences in accordance with the law and will be punished in accordance with the penalty stated in the Yemeni law.

He emphasized on the importance of the concerned bodies to carry out their duty in the supervision of field inspection to the markets and shops before the holy month of Ramadan, in which multiple commercial frauds taking place in various commodities and food products without religious and moral concerns of traders.
