Shura Speaker warns of impending environmental catastrophe

SANAA, March 14 (YPA) – Speaker of the Shura Council Mohammed al-Aidarous on Saturday warned of the impending environmental catastrophe represented by “Safer oil tank”, whose cargo of crude oil could not be discharged because of the aggression and the blockade.

This came during the Shura Council’s second meeting of the first regular session of 2020, which was devoted for discussing the report of the Environment and Tourism Committee on the Safer oil floating tank.

Al-Aidarous indicated that this meeting coincided with the martyr’s annual anniversary and the passage of five years of steadfastness in the face of the aggression of Saudi-led coalition.

In this regard, the Shura Speaker renewed the call for the coalition countries to review their positions and deal positively with the peace initiative launched by President of the Supreme Political Council, in a manner that contributes effectively to achieving security, stability and peace and establishing relations based on good neighborliness and common interests.
