6 wounded in suicide bombing near American embassy in Tunis
SANAA, March 7 (YPA) – Five Tunisian security men and a civilian were wounded in a suicide bombing by two suicide bombers, by blowing themselves up near the American embassy on the outskirts of the capital, Tunis.
The Tunisian Ministry of the Interior stated that “two people deliberately targeted a security patrol stationed in Al-Buhaira 2 area on the street opposite the US embassy, by blowing themselves up.”
In a statement, Tunisia News Agency confirmed that “the suicide bombers were killed, 5 security agents were wounded and one civilian was lightly wounded.”
The statement of the Tunisian Ministry of the Interior indicated that it put all security units on high alert to face any possible risks.
On February 22, Tunisian security forces arrested two terrorists in the states of Monastir and Manouba, central and northern Tunisia.
