Islah gunmen suppress sports party in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Feb. 29 (YPA) – Forces of the so-called the first military region affiliated with Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) in Hadramout province attacked a sports ceremony organized by fans of Etihad Sayoun Club, sources told Yemen Press Agency on Saturday.

“Citizens were surprised on Friday evening with a violent storming operation carried out by military crews of Islah party to prevent the festive activity organized by fans of the club,” the sources said.

The sources added that the gunmen fired shots in the air from light and heavy weapons in order to disperse the masses, without a clear reason.

It is worth noting that Islah forces stationed in Hadramout are facing a state of popular rejection of their presence in the province because their violations against human rights, where citizens accuse the Islah militias of committing a series of crimes, such as assassinations, Kidnappings, and suppression of freedoms.
