MAHRA, Feb. 25 (YPA) – At least five militiamen loyal to Saudi occupation forces were killed and two others wounded on Tuesday in an armed ambush in Mahra province, southern Yemen.
The ambush targeted a military pick-up vehicle of the occupation militias, who are members of the so-called “special missions”, by RPG rockets at Fujeit Junction, located between the border districts of Hat and Shahin, according to local sources.
On the other hand, the organizing committee of the peaceful sit-in in Mahra denied, in a statement, targeting of a vehicle belonging to the Saudi occupation militias at the Fujit junction.
The statement considered that the province is heading toward security chaos in the presence of the Saudi occupation.
Spokesperson for the Mahra sit-in committee, Ahmed Balhaf, accused the Saudi forces of violating the truce declared four days ago and turning Shahin crossing to a military barracks.
Balhaf said that about 30 Saudi soldiers and dozens of militiamen entered caravans to the border crossing of Shahin, with the aim of tightening control over it.
He emphasized that what the Saudi occupation forces are doing is a new violation of national sovereignty.
