Angry protestors demand departure of coalition forces from Aden

ADEN, Feb. 23 (YPA) – Hundreds of angry protesters on Sunday took to the streets in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen, demanding the departure of Saudi forces and the UAE-backed militias from the city.

The protesters, who gathered in front of Ma’asheeq Palace, called for a popular uprising to uproot Hadi’s government and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council due to the deteriorating living conditions of citizens in the city.

The demonstrators condemned the high prices of bread, the lack of oil derivatives, frequent blackouts, and the deterioration in other services.

The city of Aden has been witnessing a collapse in all basic services and a crazy rise in the prices of food commodities, in light of a full disability of Hadi’s government to deal with the security and economic situations in the southern province, since the control of the coalition in the second half of 2015.
