Army to unveil 4 air defense missile systems Sunday: Spokesman

SANAA, Feb. 22 (YPA) – The Yemeni army’s spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie on Saturday announced that four missile systems of air defense would be unveiled on Sunday, February 23.

“Tomorrow, the Yemeni armed forces will unveil four missile air defense systems at the exhibition of Martyr Abdulaziz al-Muharram,” Brig. Gen. Sarie said.

The army’s spokesman indicated, in a statement on Thursday, that these missile systems are characterized by modern and advanced technology and have successful experiences in shooting down a large number of reconnaissance fighter planes and warplanes.

This announcement comes hours after the Yemeni air defenses were able to force a squadron of Saudi and Emirati coalition warplanes to leave the sky of Nehim district in Sanaa by using Fater-1 missiles.
