SANAA, Feb. 22 (YPA) – The Yemeni air defense missiles of Fater-1 type on Saturday forced a squadron of Saudi-led coalition warplanes to leave the airspace of Sanaa province, preventing them from carrying out hostile missions.
Brigadier Yahya Sarie, spokesman of the Yemeni army, confirmed that the air defenses countered a hostile combat formation consisting of Saudi and Emirati aircraft in the sky of Nehim district with a number of Fater-1 missiles.
On February 14, Yemeni air defenses shot down a Tornado warplane of the coalition in the sky of Jawf province, northeast Yemen, with a sophisticated air-to-surface missile while carrying out hostile missions.
