Coalition admits fall of fighter jet in Yemen’s Jawf province

SANAA, Feb. 15 (YPA) – Saudi-led coalition on Saturday admitted that one of its fighter planes was downed in Jawf province, northeast of Yemen.

“At 23:45 pm on Friday, February 14, a Tornado fighter plane of the Royal Saudi Air Force crashed in the Yemeni province of Jawf,” The official Saudi news agency quoted the coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki as saying.

On Friday night, the Yemeni army’s spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie announced that the air defenses were able to shoot down a “Tornado” coalition warplane in Jawf province, while it was carrying out hostile missions.
