Over 3 billion riyals allocated for road projects in Saada in 2020: Minister

SANAA, Feb.8 (YPA) – Minister of Public Works and Roads Ghalib Mutlaq on Saturday said an amount of three billion and 127 million riyals has been approved for implementing priority road projects in Saada province during 2020.

This came during the Minister’s meeting with governors of Saada and Jawf provinces to discuss the implementation of road projects in the two provinces and the projects the provinces need during 2020.

In the meeting, Mutlaq said that the Ministry and its affiliated agencies hope to meet the needs of all provinces alike, had it not been for the exceptional circumstances facing the country, indicating that the Road Maintenance Fund and the Road Establishment are focusing on the maintenance of asphalt roads to avoid losses resulting from road cracks.

He confirmed that the Ministry would work to mobilize more local and foreign funds to implement as many road projects as possible in the provinces of Saada and Jawf, which were deprived of infrastructure projects during the past periods.
