Parliament directs Gov’t to follow up anti-epidemics efforts in Hodeidah

SANAA, Feb. 8 (YPA) – The Parliament, in its session on Saturday headed by Speaker Yahya Ali al-Ra’i, approved the report of the Public Health and Population Committee on the follow-up of the implementation of the Parliament’s recommendations related to combating epidemic diseases.

The recommendations included the emphasis on the adoption of an emergency budget to meet the epidemiological developments in Hodeidah province and other provinces.

In this regard, the Parliament approved directing a letter to Head of the Salvation Government Dr. Saleh bin Habtoor to pay field visits along with all the concerned ministers to Hodeidah province in order to mobilize efforts to provide the supplies and necessary equipments.

The Parliament’s letter stressed the necessity of providing the necessary funds to combat epidemics and diseases spreading in the province through filling up the swamps and eliminating any causes of these deadly diseases and epidemics.
