Humanitarian, health situation discussed in Hodeidah
HODEIDAH, Feb. 7 (YPA) – An extended meeting was held on Friday by the director of the presidential office Ahmed Hamid to discuss the humanitarian and health situation in Hodeidah province.
During the meeting, Hamid stressed on the importance of enhancing efforts to provide the governorate’s needs for service and development projects for improving living conditions and alleviating the suffering of citizens in the province.
The meeting touched upon the Minister of Health’s report on the health situation in the province and the efforts made to combat dengue fever, malaria, cholera and epidemics as a result of the continued aggression and the blockade on Yemen.
The meeting also included deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Hussein Maqbouli, Minister of Health Taha al-Mutawakil, acting governor Mohammad Qahim and the commander of the Fifth Military Region, Youssef al-Madani.
