Oil Minister meets UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 6 (YPA) – Minister of Oil and Minerals, Ahmed Abdullah Dares, met on Thursday with the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, Lise Grande.

At the meeting, the officials discussed the direct and indirect humanitarian repercussions as a result of the siege imposed on oil and gas sector by the Saudi-led aggression coalition.

The minister Dares affirmed that arbitrary measures taken by the aggression countries against the oil tankers have aimed at doubling the suffering of the Yemeni people and targeting the national economy.

Dares called on the United Nations to pressure on the coalition states to stop seizing oil and gas ships and facilitate their entry to Hodeidah port.

Meanwhile, the UN official stressed on the UN would make more efforts to release the oil ships held by the coalition for alleviating the suffering of citizens.
