Violent explosion rocks al-Qahira area in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 5 (YPA) – A violent explosion rocked al-Qahira area in the city of Aden, southern Yemen, on Wednesday.

According to local sources in Aden, the explosion took place when an unidentified gunman threw a hand grenade near Al-Rahman Cemetery on Al-Adwiyah Street in the al-Qahira area.

The explosion caused panic and fear among the residents of the area, without any casualties, the sources added.

Last week, a gunman of the UAE-backed militia was killed and another injured in a blast of a hand grenade in the possession of one of them, in the city of Aden.

The city of Aden has witnessed a security chaos in light of the spread of armed militias of the UAE and Saudi occupation since the second half of 2015.
