SANAA, Jan. 23 (YPA) – Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council member on Wednesday discussed with Transport Minister Zakaria al-Shami and Hammoud Obad, mayor of Capital Sanaa the aspects related to the completion of the new traffic plan decisions in the capital’s secretariat.
At the meeting, the top politician praised the success of the first steps in implementing the plan.
He noted that this requires continuation of work, which will help to make the capital Sanaa the capital of a unified Yemen.
He directed to take the necessary remedies to contribute to the success of the traffic plan, including reviewing the size of some sidewalks and closing or opening some openings in the main streets and organizing the secondary streets, to be distributed to the streets entering or exiting the main streets.
Mohammed Ali al-Houthi stressed the need to keep up with the implementation of the plan with media campaigns to promote awareness among citizens in the public interest.
He further stressed the need to involve the community in supporting government and local efforts in this regard.
He also directed to maintain light the pedestrian tunnels and work to secure and maintain them.
