Al-Rahwi affirms doubling efforts to supper cotton farming in Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 20 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council member Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahwi stressed on Monday the importance of setting a vision to support and develop cotton farming in Yemen.

The move came during his meeting with two ministers of industry Abdul-Wahab Yahya al-Durrah, and Agriculture Abdul-Malik Qasim al-Thaur.

At the meeting, al-Rahwi affirmed the council’s readiness to provide facilities and the support of the national industries and encouraging the cultivation of cash crops.

He explained that backing the local industries would contribute to reducing the import of clothing and cotton products within the framework of practical implementation of the national vision for building the Yemeni state.
