Parliament speaker discusses Gov’t efforts to combat cancer

SANAA, Jan. 18 (YPA) – Speaker of Parliament Yahya Ali al-Raee discussed on Saturday efforts exerted by the government to provide support and basic needs to combat the cancer disease.

The move came during his meeting with deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Hussein Maqbouli.

At the meeting, al-Raee stressed on the importance of media’s role in raising the level of health awareness between citizens to prevent the causes of the disease.

The meeting called on the government to exert more efforts for overcoming the difficulties that face the cancer centers and providing appropriate treatments and diagnostics.
