Gunmen continue to block Taiz-Aden road for 3rd day

SANAA, Jan. 7 (YPA) – Authorities of the so-called “legitimacy” or Hadi’s government were unable to deal with protests blocking the road linking between Taiz and Aden provinces for the third consecutive day.

“Individuals from the so-called “Fourth Mountainous Infantry Brigade” cut off the road that links al-Turba city of Taiz with Aden, in protest against the interruption of their salaries seven months ago,” local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

On Saturday, a number of militiamen affiliated with Saudi-led coalition forces blocked the same road against the background of a murder case.

The sources said that attempts to open the road during the past few days failed, and that new groups joined the protesters and continued to cut the road.
