Hadi forces besiege Abyan province

ABYAN, Jan. 7 (YPA) –  The so-called the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) accused Hadi’s forces and al-Islah militias of continuing military mobilization in order to take control of the occupied province of Abyan, local sources reported on Tuesday.

According to the local sources,  Hadi’s forces imposed an effective siege on transitional militias or the so-called security belt forces in the areas of Sheikh Salem, Al-Muhafed and Lauder, following the control of the Area of Ramas overlooking Zinjibar district.

The sources added that Hadi’s forces have used the leaders and elements of al-Qaeda in recent battles, and have given them military ranks and command tasks in order to attract the STC militias and fight in their ranks.

Hadi’s forces are seeking to take control of the occupied province of Aden, the sources said.
