Russia calls for maintaining nuclear agreement with Tehran

SANAA, Jan. 6 (YPA) – The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed on the importance of doubling efforts by the countries participating in the comprehensive plan of action of Iran’s nuclear program, JCPOA, to maintain the plan.

The ministry said in a statement that the decisions taken by Tehran on January 5, 2019, to suspend its commitments to the comprehensive plan of action to settle the Iranian nuclear program came a result of the contradictions that have accumulated within the agreements.

The statement added that the Russian side would be fully committed to terms and objectives of the plan, and ready to continue to work with Tehran.
