Iraq begins first steps to expel foreign forces from its territory

BAGHDAD, Jan. 6 (YPA) – Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi on Monday confirmed that Iraqi officials are preparing a memorandum of legal and procedural steps to implement the House’s decision to expel foreign forces from the country.

This came in a statement issued by Abdul Mahdi’s office, according to “Alsumaria News” website.

On Sunday, the Iraqi House of Representatives voted by an absolute majority on a resolution obligating the Iraqi government to end the foreign presence in the country after the American crimes against military headquarters and high-level Iraqi military leaders.
