Iraq declares 3 days of national mourning for Soleimani, Muhandis

SANAA, Jan. 4 (YPA) – Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi declared on Saturday three days of national mourning for Iranian Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Qassem Soleimani, and the Deputy Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who died along with several of their companions in a cowardly US airstrike near Baghdad International Airport.

“Prime Minister and Commander in Chief Adel Abdul Mahdi orders the deceleration of national mourning for the souls of the martyrs for three days as of Saturday,” his office said in a statement.
