10 police officers killed in 2 Taliban attacks in Afghanistan

SANAA, Jan. 1 (YPA) – Ten Afghan police were killed in two separate attacks on two military checkpoints in northern and eastern Afghanistan.

The Afghan channel “Talao News” quoted the statements of the provincial police spokesman, Fadl Salehi, who announced that the attack on the military checkpoint took place on Tuesday evening and it included 14 military checkpoints.

A police spokesman said that eight police officers were killed in the attack and others were wounded.

In the same context, Afghan military sources announced an attack by the “Taliban” on a checkpoint in Tar province, in eastern Afghanistan, killing two members of the security forces.
