LAHJ, Dec. 30 (YPA) – Over 40 shop owners were arrested on Monday by the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s forces in Yemen’s southern province of Lahj, sources said.
The sources said that security forces, in cooperation with an electricity corporation carried out a campaign of arrests against the owners in two cities of al-Houta and Towban.
The campaign came under a pretext of not paying the electricity bills by the traders.
The sources called all traders to organize a public strike on Tuesday closing the trading stores and shops for sending disciplinary messages to “Hadi” government about its repressive actions.
