FM meets Head of UN mission in support of Hodeidah Agreement

SANAA, Dec. 28 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Saturday met with Head of the United Nations Mission in support of Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) and Chief of the Redeployment Coordination Committee Lieutenant General Abhijit Guha.

At the meeting, Sharaf stressed the importance of the commitment to implement Stockholm Agreement, considering confidence-building measures an essential step in entering into any future peaceful political settlement process.

The Foreign Minister referred that the Saudi-led aggression coalition countries and their mercenaries continue to target civilians in Hodeidah province and besiege al-Durayhimi district.

He pointed out that any efforts towards achieving peace should include the neutralization of the economic process, confirming Sanaa authorities’ keenness to provide all facilities and support to the UN mission team.

In the meeting, General Guha indicated that the Redeployment Coordination Committee continued to work positively and was able to set up points to monitor the ceasefire.
