STC calls to close Islah Party headquarters in southern provinces

ADEN, Dec. 24 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) called on Tuesday to close the Saudi-backed Islah Party headquarters in all Yemeni southern provinces, sources said.

Omar Baabad, a member of the so-called National Assembly of the STC, demanded Shabwah province’s tribes to declare the general mobilization against the Islah militias to secure the province.

The sources said that the move came after Islah militia had tortured and killed the STC’s prisoner, Salim Habtour, in one of secret prisons in Shabwah.
