Security arrests over 2,000 people accused of various crimes in 2019

SANAA, Dec. 22 (YPA) – The Yemeni security forces have arrested over 2,000 people accused of various crimes in 2019, according to General Department of Anti-Narcotics’report on Sunday.

The people were charged with trafficking, smuggling and promotion of drugs in several of the provinces.

It added the security services also seized 41 tons, 133 kg, 516 grams of narcotic cannabis, 28 thousand and 613 tablets, and 25 kg of heroin in the same year.

The report confirmed that the men and seizures were referred to the public prosecution to complete the investigations.
