SANAA, Dec. 16 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat stressed that the United Nations should move seriously, especially with regard to the medical flights through Sanaa International Airport which were delayed, to transport patients for treatment abroad.
This came during his meeting with the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen Martin Griffiths and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting Sanaa.
The developments of the efforts made by the UN envoy to find a solution to end the suffering of the Yemenis were reviewed in the meeting.
The meeting touched on the obstacles that prevented the implementation of Sweden agreement a year after its signing, in light of the intransigence of the aggression and its mercenaries in implementing their obligations in the agreement.
In the meeting, President al-Mashat indicated that the continued detention of oil and food ships increases the suffering of citizens, calling on the United Nations to play its part in stopping these inhuman practices.
