SANAA, April 26 (YPA) – Former US President Jimmy Carter said that his country “US” has committed war crimes outside the border of US, pointing out that U.S. military strikes in Yemen have resulted in civilian casualties, The New York time reported.
In an interview with The New York Time, Jimmy Carter said that the American drone strikes in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Yemen often result in high civilian casualties.
Asked the journalist, whether he thinks this “contradicts our claim to be a peaceful nation devoted to human rights.?
He answered” we have committed war crimes outside the borders, and we did not commit ourselves to a just approach to war, which is supposed to be the last resort to armed conflict and to minimize our damage to other people’s lives.
“I think our country is known around the world as perhaps the most warlike major country there is. China hasn’t been at war with anybody since 1979,” he added.
