Deputy FM calls int’l community to condemn crimes against civilians in Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 11 (Saba) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi on Wednesday called on the international community and human rights organizations to condemn the crimes committed against civilians and press for ending the aggression and blockade imposed on Yemen for the fifth year in row.

This came during his meeting with Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Sanaa Abeer al-Khraisha, al-Ezzi re-affirmed the National Salvation Government’s commitment to respect international humanitarian and human rights law.

The meeting dealt with the aspects of cooperation between Yemen and OHCHR and ways to enhance and develop them.

In the meeting, al-Khraisha praised the facilities provided by the concerned authorities to OHCHR in Sanaa, confirming the Commissioner’s commitment to provide all possible support to Yemen in the area of protecting and promoting human rights.
