25 Taliban militants killed in eastern Afghanistan

SANAA, Dec. 9 (YPA) – At least 25  of Taliban militants were killed in Afghan security forces’ operations in eastern Afghanistan, Xinhua agency reported.

The agency quoted  a spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry Nusrat Rahimi, as saying on Monday: It has been confirmed the killing of at least 25 militants, and clearance operations are still going on in Wardak province in eastern Afghanistan.

Rahimi added that a major base for “Taliban” militants had been destroyed during these operations supervised by Deputy Interior Minister Khushal Sadatز

He added that the pursuit process will continue until the area is cleared of militants.

The spokesman did not say if there were any losses on the part of the security personnel.
