SANAA, Nov. 21 (YPA) – Director of the Presidency Office, Ahmed Hamed on Wednesday revealed the war expenses with the Saudi-led coalition and the UAE with direct U.S. and British support for nearly five years.
“The war expenses did not exceed a quarter of the budget of the 1994 summer war, which amounted to 20 million dollars, ” Ahmed Hamed confirmed.
“In the 1994 war, the budget was $20 billion in 3 months, as well as the budget approved by the Ministry of Defense, are allocated salaries and operating expenses, while we are fighting wars without a military budget,” he said at the inauguration of Public Service and Receiving Complaints at the Ministry of Local Administration on the toll-free number (8000155)
“We assure you that after five years we have not reached a quarter of this amount, and from where!? from the aid of our people and from the crumbs that come to us from the rest of the revenues,” he added.
“The forces of aggression and mercenaries continue to plunder the wealth of the Yemeni people, plundering billions of dollars or even trillions during the five years of aggression,” he said.
They spent it for their own interests. This has caused a deterioration of the currency and the country’s economic situation.
He added: “Traitors, mercenaries and corrupt leaders. They are only good at selling homelands and plundering wealth. They have been able to extort people’s money in past periods and have deprived the nation of a comprehensive development renaissance, but we will be more artful in building this country that they have lost and plundered its wealth and wealth.”
Hamed responded to the claims of the Coalition and the Hadi government about revenues.
“Occasionally, we hear people saying that if the revenues are received or spent correctly, salaries could be paid. This is not true because these revenues represent less than seven per cent of salaries,” he said.
“We have a battle that we are fighting on more than forty fronts. This battle is a miracle in itself. “Achievements in military industrialization are a catalyst for state institutions to rise,” he added.
“Government institutions, including the security and defence institutions, are the institutions of the people and their officials are servants of the people,” said Ahmed Hamed, director of the Presidential Office.
He called on the media to “be accurate in conveying reality”.
He continued: “Here there are state institutions. Here there are ministers, agents, officials, directors of the public and existing institutions, and there are hotel ministers who plunder the homeland, print the new currency and go down to the markets to raise the price of the dollar, that’s all they do.”
“Despite the transfer of the Central Bank to Aden by traitors and mercenaries and blockade, we are steadfast and we provide services with all available means.” “It is important that there be comparisons in order for the people to know who they serve,” he said.
“The state and the government are striving to fight corruption spending all possibilities available to build the country and promote it to the highest levels despite the repercussions of the aggression, the blockade and the scarce possibilities,” Hamed said.
“The restoration of the Yemeni decision is the beginning of the right path to promote the country in various fields,” he concluded.
