Humanitarian Affairs Council, UNICEF discuss cooperation aspects

SANAA, Nov. 18 (YPA) – Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Coordination and Management of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Abdulmohsen Tawoos met on Sunday with UNICEF Deputy Representative in Yemen Bastien Vigneau.

The meeting discussed aspects of coordination and cooperation between the Council and the organization in the implementation of humanitarian projects.

Tawoos stressed that the supporting bodies should coordinate with the Council in the implementation of their activities.

He pointed to the importance of doubling the humanitarian work and providing support for health facilities and cleaning fund and its offices in the provinces in order to continue to provide their services to citizens and reduce spread of epidemics and diseases.

In the meeting, Vigneau confirmed that UNICEF would continue to provide everything necessary to face the risks in coordination with the Council to contribute to alleviating the humanitarian suffering.
