The Bulgarian eagle Nelson has been injured in the city of Taiz it arrived in, after it lost its way and its tracking signal was lost.
Head of Sanid organization Mohammed Al-Kbous explained that the presence of a special environmental department in the organization prompted it to pay attention to the issue of the Bulgarian eagle, which culminated in receiving it from the competent authorities that had reserved it for the past period.
“Sanid signed a partnership agreement with the French organization (OWAP) specialized in the care and protection of animals, which provided care for the eagle throughout its stay in Yemen until today,” al-Kbous said.
The organization coordinated with the concerned authorities to arrange its transfer to Djibouti through UNDP Environmental Program in Yemen and then to its home country in Bulgaria, he added.
