Political Council condemns Palestinian commander Abu al-Ata assassination
SANAA, Nov. 13 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council on Wednesday condemned the assassination of commander of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement Bahaa Abu al-Ata by the Zionist entity in Gaza Strip, as well as the assassination attempt on Akram al-Ajouri in Damascus.
The Council considered these crimes a blatant aggression and a violation of the sovereignty of an Arab state, which is independent and a member of the United Nations.
During his meeting chaired by President Mahdi al-Mashat, the Council called on the international community to condemn this crime and aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The Council stressed the right of respond to the usurping Zionist entity, which exploits what the nation is going through to expand its colonial projects and commit the most heinous crimes and massacres.
In its meeting, The Council dealt with the latest developments in the political and military arena, affirming Yemen’s firm stance towards peace and the political process.
